Racquets
Wilson
When Wilson's Triad series was introduced, it was a huge improvement
in comfort and performance. By separating the hoop of the racquet from
the handle, and filling in the void with its IsoZorb material, Wilson
was able to create a racquet that maintained blistering power without
the harmful side effects-wrist fatigue, aching hands, etc. This season,
Wilson is expanding their Triad series with the T2, T3, and T5 racquets.
Prince
Prince Tennis is another company that has recognized the benefits of
a multi-piece racquet. Their MORE Performance series utilizes separate
Air Plus handles for cushy comfort without a loss of power. Based on
the type of player you are, or aspire to be, Prince lets you choose
from several lines: More Control, More Power, More Balance, etc. In
addition to this group, Prince is renewing their popular Triple Threat
line for 2003.
Head
If you like the latest technological advances, it's hard to find a more
impressive line of tennis racquets than Head's Intelligence series.
These racquets feature piezoelectric fibers, also known as Intellifibers,
in the throat for incredible power without the accompanying shocks.
Intellifibers found in the 3- and 9-O'clock positions improve control
by preventing the racquet from twisting on mis-hits. The i.X16 Chip
System racquet amplifies the Intellfibers power by 10 times to create
a racquet that will electronically blow away your competition.
